E-rate is a federally funded program that helps schools with technology initiatives. (We all finance it each month with the Universal Services Fund charge on our long-distance bill.) E-rate approved vendors, like us, provide services for schools for which the schools then apply to receive E-rate funding. In all cases, schools will receive federal funding ranging from 20-90% of the cost of our system. (Very roughly speaking, the amount of funding correlates to the percentage of free and reduced lunch students attending your school system, but it has never dropped below 20%.)
